A Healthy Institution

Neighborhood Trust's assets are now over $6.5 million. Federal examiners from the National Credit Union Administration have repeatedly given the credit union high marks in all areas of operation, including management. Auditors from the New York State Credit Union League and CUNA Mutual Insurance have also given very favorable reports.

Neighborhood Trust has received major local and national recognition for its work. After being one of the youngest credit unions ever to receive an award from the US Treasury Department's CDFI Fund in 1998, Neighborhood Trust secured another $237,000 in federal CDFI funds in early 2001.  Also recently, Neighborhood Trust became the second credit union in the country to be named a US Small Business Administration lender--an achievement that, in the coming year, will allow us to make larger loans to established entrepreneurs in the community.
