Building Local Leadership

Neighborhood Trust's Board of Directors, Credit Committee and Supervisory Committee are all made up exclusively of credit union members elected at an annual meeting of credit union members. Some are local professionals who bring experience in banking, finance, non-profit management, and accounting. Others are active residents who are learning for the first time how to run a financial institution. Together they represent the credit union's members in developing the policies and procedures of the credit union.

Credit Where Credit Is Due hires approximately 80% of its staff locally. Thirty percent of employees have come directly off welfare.
